The Riverside Cemetery has a legend attached to it. According to legend, a lone grave on the far side and just above the cemetery contains the remains of gun-toting Frank Watkins, Riverside’s only murder victim.
The first coordinates listed below indicate the historic location where Frank Watkins had his legendary shoot-out with a bartender in 1904. Three bullet holes from Frank Watkin’s six- shooter can still be seen today in the ceiling of the former saloon, now a mom and pop grocery store, in Riverside. Keep your horseshoe tilted upright so your luck does not run out. You are almost there!

Once you have gathered your historical information at the first coordinates saddle up and mosey on out of town using the listed coordinates below following the Old Riverside Road above the cemetery. Frank’s gravesite is located about 500 yards outside of the southern part of the Riverside Cemetery on top of a lone hill. The local townspeople did not want him sleeping in their Riverside Cemetery while rubbing elbows with their righteous kin.
Once you have arrived at the gravesite look for the clue that indicates where Frank’s luck had run out. The treasure cache will be located at a high noon position just below the surface where the hoof hangs.
The restless ghost of gun-toting Frank Watkins is said to have haunted Riverside and the Riverside Cemetery for the last 100 years, because the town folks would not let him be buried in their cemetery.
